After being away for five weeks, I’m getting my groove back in the kitchen. Oh, how I missed cooking!!
Since I’ve been back, I’ve been cooking as much as I can, still allowing time to, you know, sleep and such. So, I’ve got quite a few recipes that I’m working on and will be posting in the next couple of hours or days depending on what else I’ve got to do. And then more recipes and ideas waiting to be made. So, get ready :-)
In the midst of being back home, I have decided I'd like to try my hand with hummus again. I have a very deep affection and appreciation for hummus… so long as someone else has made it. I think I’ve tried… maybe three times or so to make hummus and I just cannot get it to come out right. I thought about just giving in and making peace with the fact that I will have to buy store bought for the rest of my life, but sometimes it’s not on sale. Sometimes the flavor I want has sugar in it. What’s a girl to do? I’ll tell you: she is to try again.
So, that is what I’m going to do. I cooked the chickpeas and I’ll go from there and let you know how it turns out… here’s hoping!!
